Crossroads, will come and go…

Another great 420 it was, plenty of Humboldt Dream and Red Velvet to go around. The smooth but heavy relaxing Dream has got to be one of the better strains for Anxiety or Sleeplessness. The Velvets fruity pallet packed an euphoric punch, again great for Stress and relieving Pain situations. Definitely a top shelf experience we hope to continue to share in the future.

Blessed with a beautiful crop of dense, sticky and pungent flowers.

So the latest out of Austin is a House Committee prepared a subsituted SB3 that will next be voted on by the Texas House. Pending approval and it should, the next stop will be changes advised by the Senate and then another round of voting. Dan Patrick has took on a personal mission to ban THC products in Texas, so I expect a few rounds of haggling. He has openly stated he will hold the entire legislation into overtime until this bill gets passed. Sounds like basic coercion to me, but here is a link to Texas Tribune for more info.

A THC BAN kills the Texas Hemp industry dead. Regardless of the CBD/CBG proponents, a profitable crop is not achievable with the ban in place. Having said that, the amendments mentioned above (just observing federal laws) will allow us to continue producing our CBG and CBD rich flowers and provide a market for products. Understand, it is not profitably realistic to grow hemp with ZERO THC at this time, so to remain compliant our industry must continue to explore genetic modifications, which is not cheap and takes time.

There you have it, we are going to hold our crops until legislation is decided this session. Foremost at the Gardens, we want to be respectful and compliant of any state/federal laws. We will maintain all licensing and permits necessary for the future, with the hopes our laws evolve. Regardless whether it is hemp or your urban garden needs, GreenVibe Gardens will party on.

Peace out folks!
